David Hasler

David is the Operations and Programs Lead at Human Leadership Lab. In this role, he oversees the design, delivery, and scaling of leadership development programs while driving operational excellence and fostering organisational growth.

Expertise in leadership development, strategy and operations

David brings extensive experience across organisational design, process improvement and operational excellence, paired with expertise in executive coaching and leadership development. He excels at connecting strategy to execution, building systems that align people with purpose, and creating environments where teams can experiment, learn and grow. His approach integrates technical insight with a deep focus on adaptability, bravery and compassion.

Professional credentials in coaching and management

David holds a Master of Science in Coaching Psychology from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management from Swinburne University of Technology. He is a certified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) and holds additional qualifications in Strategic Performance Management Systems, Military Leadership, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance.

Leadership roles and community service

David is a former Army Officer and Military Instructor, bringing a wealth of experience in leadership under pressure. He has led strategy development, risk management, large-scale transformation programs, and structural redesigns as an Associate Director in the NSW Government, successfully aligning operational systems with strategic objectives. He has also worked as an executive coach and consultant at PwC.

Beyond his professional achievements, David is deeply committed to service and community. He volunteers as firefighter with the NSW Rural Fire Service, and has facilitated numerous programs for youth and young adults through various non-profits organisations, sharing his insights on leadership, resilience, and personal growth.
